Naruto beats him because Naruto believed the exact opposite of what Neji did. Naruto believed he could overcome any weakness if he worked hard enough; Neji believed a person's talents and abilities were set from birth, and there was no way to change that. Naruto beat him with the one move he had the most difficulty with in the academy, thus proving to Neji that a person's abilites are not predetermined.

nice script Merlin, i totally agree with you. even though i dont want to admit it, i'm actually glad that Naruto defeated Neji, because it only made him a better person afterward. i also like that neji's personality becomes more relaxed - and he smiles more! Wink
