Yes. But in the hospital for example - he could have easily turned into that monster and killed all of them. BTW, I liked Gai in that hospital scene - he KNEW Gaara was aboit to kill - but he acted as if they would be only little boys who argue. Very Kakashi-like, if you ask me.

^^ No, Kakashi is like "I do not care about being better than you". He's indifferent to that theme. But then again - you know what I noticed? Gai asked him how many guys Kakashi defeated (killed?), and Kakashi says 22. Which means Kakashi DID count them - why the world did he do this? So, he MUST be caring about that whole rival-relationship to Gai. he just acts indifferent to annoy Gai. Or sth like that . Heck, it's late, though, so good night now!
