This is Hana-chan's story, and she's remembering what happened and how she met Tohru. When she was little, she almost killed a boy with her, uh, psychicness (hey, he was hurting her. But anyway, that's why she wears black), and when her family moved, she met Tohru and Uo-chan, but didn't want them to know about what happened. When they found out, she sort of ran away (but she stayed in the school, she didn't actually go anywhere), and then there was this big dramatic scene where Tohru said she didn't care.
