Anime Expo 2006 2 Day Con Report

The first two days of Anime Expo 6 in Anaheim has been both exhausting and amazing. From the first day where we were able to jump into the Dealer area while they were setting up to the first ever US CLAMP panel, it was all just so overwhelming. The dealer room was amazing, we snapped several pictures of booths being set up and talked to some of the different companies and introduced them to AnimeGalleries.net.

We participated in 2 separate CLAMP panels. The first was a public panel that anyone from the public could sit in at. They showed a lot of video presentations about the past and current CLAMP works. They picked out some questions from ones submitted on the internet and the ladies answered them with the help of a translator, as none of the 4 beautiful ladies spoke English. The second was a Press only panel. This was an open question period where we were able to ask our own questions for the ladies to answer. Along with allowing us a short photograph session to take pictures of them. We will have a write up on these 2 amazing experiences later.

Day two was just as tiring. We took a lot more pictures of cosplay and wandered around the dealer room a bit more. We also took in the AX idol performance and I was able to get my picture taken with both Tony Oliver (Voice Actor) and Johnny Yong Bosch (Voice of Vash the Stampede and the Black Ranger from the show The Power Rangers). We stopped for a quick dinner with Wayne Phelps (better known as Lord Onyx) and were able to watch him GM an RPG called Big Eyes, Small Mouth. All in all this has been a whirlwind of a trip and we�re hoping to be able to convey to you what the convention was all about!!
