The last straw.

Pain: “Ok. Itachi and Kisame are on there way to get that one tailed beast, so what’s ‘er name should be gone…Ok, Deidara, Tobi, your mission is-”
Haruka: “RETURN TO YOUR POWER COMBIND! CLOW CARD!!!!!!!!!!”
Haruka hits pain in the head with her real (Cough) staff.
Pain sighed, grabbed the staff and threw it out the window into the rain village.
Haruka: “Hey!”
Pain: “Ok, You have one chance to leave here alive…GO AWAY!”
Haruka paused, as if thinking very carefully about something.
Haruka: “GETT ‘IM KERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
She threw her stuffed…I mean, Kero flew across the room and hit pain.
Kero: “I’m Keroberos, the guardian beast.”
There was silence. The tension in the room was so thick, Konan took her lunch break early.
Pain walked over to Haruka, put a hand on her shoulder, and stared her straight in the eyes.
Haruka blinked and smiled sweetly.
Pain: “no one your age is this stupid.” He said in a low voice.
Haruka blinked again, her smile not fading.
In one quick move, Pain had a kunai to Haruka’s throat.
The thought of never seeing this girl again made him smile as stabbed the kunai in her neck.

Everyone in the Akatsuki had the night off. There was cake and….well not much else. The only thing that haunted Pain on this night of celebration was the fact that Haruka’s body had disappeared. He assumed that Konan had disposed of it and pushed his concern aside. She couldn’t be so stupid that she’d forget to die, could she? Nah, now he KNEW he was being silly.
