Your a liar.......... and a bad one at that.Hao is a better name for him because thats what his creator called him.Hao is Japanese and Hao is a Japanese name.There is purpose for his name being Hao and not one for it being Zeke.Yoh-means:Leaf----Hao-means:Leaf king ,it's a play on word's and pun it has a part in the story the name Zeke-herbew for:Stength of god,dose not.And Zeke is not a better name he didnt change it Hiroyuki Takei didnt change it 4Kids did.

i looked it up on an online dictionary. Asakura Hao means leaf king. Hao means king.
|

Then how would Yoh's name mean "leaf" if Hao = King ,but Asakura means leaf ?
|
|
|

The only ways I've heard to say King in Japanese are kokuou, oumono, kingu, ouja, oushou, ousama.I know Hao has Chinese ,Vietnamese and Korean meaning's as well.But I dont get how Yoh's names is to mean Leaf if by logic Asakura means leaf too so dose the word."Ha" but I know that.

O.K ,I checked if you translate the official Japanese site it has Hao cast as "Leaf King" ホロホロ 葉 王 and Yoh as "Flax Ware House Leaf " 麻倉 葉 and there last name is written as ( あ Sakura way)
