you're kind of right...when he was around the corner listening to the sand ppls conversations, me and my brother kept expecting him to cough and give away where he was, but i guess not. but i agree, its not fair that he died, he barely even got a character depth.

He died because Baki killed him. He listened that the Sand & Sound ninjas where like planning a plot to destroy the Leaf village I think. And he over heard & Baki killed him. I feel sad for his girlfriend. She said that she will avenge his death.

I loved Hayate. Heck I still do. You know if the sand village had not bee tricked then I think Hayate would have been still alive. Oh and his being sick kind of reminds me of Hisoka Kurosaki from Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness). He was sick and he died in a hospital after suffering three years from being sick all the time.

hayate should have lived even if he was sick all the time! baki is so dead! you'll pay for killing him, baki! i'll join the Hayate Reinforcements army nekojin_himori!
